A specially tuned carbon layup using high-modulus Toray T1100 carbon fibers – the finest in the world – unfolds its tangible advantages here:

The IKARUS FASTER combines precision and fit in a sporty, balanced geometry that enables an aerodynamic, efficient riding position—never extreme, always confidently controllable. With up to 32 mm tire clearance, it remains flexible for any terrain, from racing to training rides. Every component is tuned to minimize vibrations while maintaining stiffness. The result: maximum control, less fatigue, and more speed on long distances.

On specialized test rigs, the frame, fork, handlebar, and seatpost are tested under realistic conditions and stringent limits for torsional stiffness, endurance, and material fatigue. Only components that meet our high standards go on sale. This way, you can rely on your Faster in every situation—whether sprinting, descending, or racing.

Technical Details – thought through down to the smallest detail
With the IKARUS FASTER, every detail is a deliberate decision. Our design principles are not based on fleeting trends, but on an unwavering foundation of functionality, ease of maintenance, and true performance. Because what really matters in training, competition, or epic tours is one overarching maxim: reliability without compromise.
Bottom bracket BSA: proven technology – superior reliability.
We rely on what has proven itself in practice: the BSA threaded bottom bracket. It is lightweight, absolutely reliable, and guarantees a noise-free riding experience. Alternative systems like T47 are often heavier, and press-fit bearings, while very light, are notoriously prone to creaking noises.
Seat clamp: integrated, accessible, repairable.
Top access: Easily reachable, protected against corrosion, and simple to operate.
Better than clamps from below or behind: While these may look sleek, they are often inaccessible for repairs or prone to corrosion.
Headset: stable, compatible.
No recessed spacer: a wider bearing distance reduces forces on the frame and fork steerer. Universal spacer interface: facilitates replacement with handlebars from other manufacturers.
Handlebar-stem unit: perfect integration, precisely tailored to you.
Our handlebar-stem unit offers complete integration for maximum visual and aerodynamic benefits. Each unit is individually selected to fit your measurements, making a later, often costly replacement unnecessary.
Axles: recessed, yet repairable.
For good reason, we deliberately avoid closed threads: they are hardly repairable in case of damage and offer no aerodynamic advantages. Our choice stands for ease of use, safety, and long-term reliability.
UDH derailleur hanger: the standard of the future.
The UDH derailleur hanger (Universal Derailleur Hanger) is our forward-looking standard: compatible, precise, globally available, and essential for cutting-edge drivetrains like SRAM’s 1×13 systems.
