Nein, ein Versand ins Ausland ist bis auf Weiteres nicht vorgesehen. Eine Abholung bei uns in Oberurnen (Schweiz) ist jedoch nach vorheriger Absprache gerne möglich.

Verzollung und Mehrwertsteuer bei Abholung durch ausländische Kundinnen und Kunden

Beim Erwerb und der Abholung von Waren durch Personen mit Wohnsitz im Ausland wird zunächst der Verkaufspreis inklusive der Schweizer Mehrwertsteuer (MWST) berechnet. Sofern die Ware ordnungsgemäß aus der Schweiz ausgeführt wird, kann die Schweizer MWST nachträglich rückerstattet werden. Voraussetzung hierfür ist, dass der Käufer bzw. die Käuferin beim Grenzübertritt einen vom Schweizer Zoll abgestempelten Ausfuhrnachweis (Originalrechnung) vorlegt und diesen innerhalb einer angemessenen Frist an uns übermittelt. Die Rückerstattung der Schweizer MWST erfolgt nach Eingang des ordnungsgemäß abgestempelten Nachweises.

Beim Import in das jeweilige Bestimmungsland (z. B. Deutschland, Österreich, Italien) sind die dort geltende Einfuhrumsatzsteuer sowie gegebenenfalls Zollgebühren durch den Käufer bzw. die Käuferin zu entrichten. Die Verantwortung für die ordnungsgemäße Verzollung und Deklaration liegt beim Käufer bzw. der Käuferin.

How is the consultation conducted?

We advise our customers via email, phone, or on-site at our workshop. Although we don’t have a traditional retail store, our workshop is the best place to show you all the details and let you see where and how your bike is assembled.

How long does it take until my bike is ready?

The completion of your bike usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks.

How do I receive my finished bike?

You can pick up your bike directly from us once it’s finished. When you come to collect it, it’s best to take a test ride so you have the chance to request any small adjustments from us.

Do you offer repairs and service for my bike?

Yes, we offer comprehensive repair and service for your IKARUS bike.

IKARUS offers more affordable prices thanks to a leaner cost structure and direct sourcing. Here are the main reasons::

Traditional specialty dealers source their bikes from well-known brand manufacturers, who have their bikes almost exclusively produced according to their specifications in Asia. These bikes arrive fully assembled in boxes to the manufacturer and then to the importer. This process incurs recurring costs. Additionally, brand manufacturers invest huge sums in marketing and sales, significantly increasing the bike’s price. Dealers often have expensive retail spaces to pay rent for, which means they must factor in a correspondingly high margin.

Online-Händler investieren enorme Summen in Online-Werbung und Sponsoring. For example, Canyon’s involvement in cycling teams costs several million. These expenses must be covered through the margin.

How does IKARUS’s pricing model work? IKARUS purchases its frames and wheelsets directly from reputable manufacturers in Asia without intermediaries. Our cost structure is extremely lean—we have no retail stores and do not pay expensive rents. The marketing budget is very modest. We price our products based on actual costs.

Does IKARUS offer discounts?

No, IKARUS does not offer discounts. Our prices are calculated based on actual costs, which does not allow us to grant discounts. You won’t suddenly find IKARUS bikes with 30% off, as we consider that neither serious nor fair to customers who pay the full price. Additionally, we cannot and do not want to sell bikes below our costs.
